Installation & setup guide: single carbon filter & tap
Installing a single carbon filter and tap is a straightforward DIY project. Follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation.
Tools & materials needed:
- Adjustable wrench
- Drill (if mounting the tap)
- Plumbing tape
- Tubing cutter or sharp knife
- Bucket & towel
- Carbon filter kit (includes filter, tubing, and fittings)
Step 1: Choose the installation location
- Select a spot under your kitchen sink or near your water source.
- Ensure you have enough space to mount the filter and connect the tubing.
Step 2: Shut off the water supply
- Turn off the cold water supply valve under the sink.
- Open the tap to relieve any pressure and drain excess water.
Step 3: Install the tap (if required)
- If your filter comes with a separate tap, drill a hole in the sink or countertop as per the manufacturer's instructions.
- Insert the tap and secure it tightly using the provided fittings.
Step 4: Connect the carbon filter
- Attach the filter’s inlet tube to the cold water supply using the included T-connector.
- Connect the filter’s outlet tube to the new drinking water tap.
- Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
Step 5: Flush the system
- Turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
- Run water through the system for at least 5 minutes to flush out any carbon dust.
Step 6: Final checks
- Inspect all fittings for leaks and tighten if necessary.
- Enjoy clean, filtered water from your new tap.
Regular maintenance includes changing the filter cartridge as per the manufacturer’s recommendations, usually every 6 to 12 months.

Installation & setup guide: non-pumped reverse osmosis system
Installing a non-pumped reverse osmosis (RO) system with a holding tank is a manageable DIY project. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure proper installation and optimal performance.
Tools & materials needed:
- Adjustable wrench
- Drill (if mounting the tap)
- Plumbing tape
- Tubing cutter or sharp knife
- Bucket & towel
- RO system kit (including filters, holding tank, tubing, and fittings)
Step 1: Choose the installation location
- Install under the kitchen sink or in a location close to the cold water supply.
- Ensure there is enough space for the RO unit, holding tank, and tubing connections.
Step 2: Shut off the water supply
- Turn off the cold water supply valve under the sink.
- Open the existing tap to relieve any water pressure and drain excess water.
Step 3: Install the RO tap
- If your system includes a separate tap, drill a hole in the sink or countertop according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Insert the tap and secure it using the provided fittings.
Step 4: Connect the water supply adapter
- Attach the included T-valve to the cold water supply line.
- Connect the RO system’s inlet tubing to the T-valve.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
Step 5: Connect the RO unit and holding tank
- Attach the tubing from the inlet valve to the pre-filters.
- Connect the pre-filters to the RO membrane.
- Link the RO membrane to the post-filter and finally to the holding tank.
- Connect the tank to the RO tap using the provided tubing.
Step 6: Install the drain line
- Drill a small hole in the sink drain pipe and insert the drain saddle valve.
- Attach the RO system’s drain tube securely to prevent leaks.
Step 7: Flush and test the system
- Turn on the water supply and check for leaks.
- Allow the system to fill the tank (this may take several hours).
- Flush the system by draining the first full tank before use.
Step 8: Final checks & maintenance
- Inspect all connections and fittings for leaks.
- Check and replace filters as per the manufacturer’s recommendations, usually every 6 to 12 months.
- Drain and sanitize the system periodically to maintain performance.
Your non-pumped reverse osmosis system is now ready to provide clean, purified drinking water.
